What’s most wonderful about Lois McMaster Bujold’s fantasy is the depth of characterization. No cookie cutter personalities, simpering maidens, or perfectly heroic men. Everyone is flawed in intriguing ways with strengths that are completely believable and very human.
In The Hallowed Hunt, the layered plot leads to a fascinatingly creepy culmination. A wonderfully compelling read.
